Trend Lifestyles Teens-Elegance - Models and Glamour

Top models can be famous for many reasons: sometimes they have an unique look like Gemma Ward, sometimes a mature and beautiful smile like Linda Evangelista, and sometimes an extreme sensual body and face like Gisele Bundchen.

Independent of their style and fashion niche, all super models are also famous for their untouchable elegance.

Reading fashion magazines and following the daily news on the website "models.com", I managed to separate a few supermodels that are standing out for their personal elegance. It means that outside of magazines, catwalks and fashion ads, in the daily bases, they are still keen to keep their grace and class.

Lakshmi Menon
Trend Lifestyles Teens-Elegance - Models and GlamourLakshmi is an indian supermodel that is between the most important models right now. The 26 years old beauty, started the modelling career to earn money while she was studying a sociology degree, and for her surprise, ended up on the catwalks of the best designers in the World.

In her personal life, she likes the nice and quiet rather than busy parties and glamorous model life.

Why is she in the list? Because of her calm and exotic elegance.

Raquel Zimmerman
Trend Lifestyles Teens-Elegance - Models and Glamour
The Brazilian blond bombshell is the number one on the website models.com, and also one of the favorites of Anna Wintour, the editor chief of the American Vogue. Her beautiful face and sensual body can wear any type of campaign: from the young, sporty and popular as a Victoria's Secret show, to the highest class Chanel couture. She is also a good favorite of the "anti-skinny" protesters, because of her slim, but healthy figure.

Why is she in the list? Because of her classy and flexible elegance.

Iris Strubegger

Trend Lifestyles Teens-Elegance - Models and GlamourThe Austrian model is also on the models.com list as one of the hype models of the moment. Her strong beauty is in the pages of many fashion magazines around the World in very beautiful campaigns.

Sometimes in funky and crazy ads, with a boysh look, she hides her feminine elegance, and brings the androgynous clic that not many models can do.

Why is she in the list? Because of her unique boy-girl elegance.

Sessilee Lopez
Trend Lifestyles Teens-Elegance - Models and GlamourSessilee is an American model that has been one of the main models of the black revolution in fashion. After many protests against the exclusion of black women in the fashion business, Franca Sozzani from the Italian Vogue, together with photographer Steven Meisel, decided to make the Vogue "all black" issue. Sessilee was choosen between the models that were printed on the cover of the magazine issue, and between the black beauties.

Because she stands out in the "black models revolution" with her soft elegance.

What is most amazing about her look is how so sweet girl in reality, can become the sultry glamorous model under the camera's flash. This Lituanian darling is in the models.com list of models of the moment, and has everything to become a memorable supermodel.

Trend Lifestyles Teens-Beautiful Art of Olivia de Berardinis

I am a very assiduous fan of Pin Up art (I think it's not hard to notice, as you see I always post about glamour and vintage stuff). The difference between me and most people that also like Pin Up art, is that I appreciate mostly the contemporary Pin Ups.

Of course I love classic artists like Gil Elvgren and Alberto Vargas, but definitely my favorite artist right now is Olivia de Berardinis.

The american illustrator started her career as Pin Up artist in the 70's and, still is famous for her sensual and stylish art.

Trend Lifestyles Teens-Beautiful Art of Olivia de BerardinisAs you can see in the picture above, the sensual and provocative poses are still the main attractive in Pin Up art, but now with less of innocence and more of a story behind a scene. The stories are also far away from the 50's housewives Elvgren used to picture. They are more full of fantasy, naughtiness and glamour.

Beauty also changes with time. Olivia's girls have many types of looks, but mostly they are long legged babes with an Angeline Jolie vibe, not the smiley Marilyn Monroe face anymore. The colors, poses, lingerie, clothes and accessories are also much more creative and artistic... not only about the sexiness, but also about the art itself. It's so different, that even seems fashionable sometimes.

They could even be inspiration for fashion advertisements, or could easily look like a Steven Klein picture for a designer ad.
Trend Lifestyles Teens-Beautiful Art of Olivia de Berardinis
Trend Lifestyles Teens-Beautiful Art of Olivia de BerardinisOlivia (as many other artists) does some illustrations inspired on the classic Pin Up girl Bettie Page. Differently of other artists, she has her own way to make Bettie look more glamorous than ever.

Trend Lifestyles Teens-Beautiful Art of Olivia de Berardinis
Trend Lifestyles Teens-Beautiful Art of Olivia de BerardinisEven when doing something a bit more classic, Olivia still shows the contemporary with the lightnings, poses, colors and structure.

Olivia's art can be found as paintings, calendars, illustrations, books and posters. She also had a few illustration published in magazines for men (Playboy for example) and the cover of a Courtney Love album.

If you liked the few images I just showed in my blog, visit Olivia's official home page:

Or buy her books, posters, paintings and calendars. They are sold in many different online stores (Amazon for example) and also on her official website.

An Icon of Style: Bill Kaulitz

An Icon of Style: Bill KaulitzIn the end of the 90's there was a strong pop-teen scene making all girls scream. It was the highest point in the career of many boy bands like Backstreet Boys, N'Sync and Hanson. They were made up in styles to fit in many girls taste.

Right now, also a rock-pop band that has been making many teen girls (and not teens too!) scream as loud as they can. This is the German band Tokio Hotel.

They are also, young, cute and stylish boys. What make them surprising different in the pop World is the front man, Bill Kaulitz.

Bill is for sure a cute boy. What makes him special is his unique style. Many people see as strange: he looks like a girl, he wears nail polish, he is kind of too slim and he has a crazy lion hair that makes me think of a Japanese cartoon. It was all seen before, but never all together, or only in the underground scene.

An Icon of Style: Bill Kaulitz
The most interesting thing is that Bill seems so popular exactly because of this different kind of feminine style. Girls are falling in love now with boys that have a strong personality, are not ashamed to show their feminine side and don't care for what others think. The basic good looking boys like the Backstreet Boys are not getting any attention anymore.

Bill's crazy and unique style is so popular that he was cover of one of the most important fashion and elegance magazines in the World: the Vanity fair.

Let's be honest, there is not anything really special about Tokio Hotel's music, or about Bill's voice. All their success came from the way Bill (and also from his brother Tom) make girls go crazy.

So let's hope Tokio Hotel frontman are going to build an even stronger influence in Fashion and possible in some other boys style.

Burlesque and Striptease

Sin City - Jessica Alba

But what is really impressing everybody, with the vintage style so much in fashion, the sexy striptease from the 20's to the 40's called Burlesque, is back into stages again.

Today, our queen of Burlesque, and maybe one of the responsible for this big come back, is the beautiful and elegant Dita Von Teese.

She is not only a Burlesque icon, as she also became a fashion icon for her vintage, sexy and glamorous style.

In the USA, they have many famous burlesque shows and many famous and great Burlesque performers besides Dita. You can find out about it on: http://www.burlesquehall.com/

In Brazil (my home), is happening the "TrixMix Cabaret". A show of late XIX Cabaret, neo-burlesque and circus. You can find out about it here: http://gebbeg.com.br/?p=1990

So if you have the opportunity of experiencing this beautiful art of being sexy, don't waste your time!

...........

Watching all this burlesque and striptease videos, you'll probably feel like you'd love to be starring in a similar scene (as the stripper or the watcher). You can try to get your own Burlesque/Striptease show at home!

The 5 main tips for a good striptease are very simple:

1. The Soundtrack: Choose a sexy song, not too fast, not too slow. Try to choose a few songs that would work and put them in a CD. Most songs have a bit more than 3 minutes, and a good striptease needs at least 10 minutes, so more than one song is good... and might work better than only one song on repeat. (to help you out, I made a selection of good striptease songs bellow)

2. Outfit: Get a sexy outfit with a lot of layers, easy to remove. A good make up and hair done is also essential. The stripper must feel beautiful and sexy to get comfortable while stripping and impress the partner. Never forget something really important: High heels. I saw a show that Dita wasn't wearing high heels, but she was walking on tip toes all the time... this also can work!

3. Movements: While you dance, slide your hands on your body like your partner would love to be doing. Don't let him touch you at all. He can only watch. Don't feel embarrassed to touch yourself in obscene ways; these are the most exciting ways for your partner. Move your hips and never forget that your bum is the main attractive in the show: turn around, bend over many times in between each piece of your clothes you remove. Don't forget to express your sexiness also on your face. You can blink, put your fingers on your lips, blow kiss, lick your lips... it all work. Also shake your hair, it's really sexy. And never forget to remove the outfit really slowly, and pretend sometimes that you gonna remove something, but you don't.

4. The Play: Something that can work and get your striptease/burlesque more interesting is adding elements to it. Dita Von Teese uses a huge martini glass which she showers herself inside it. Many strippers use a pole or a chair. You can use many other things: Pillows, handcuffs, umbrella, fans, cigarettes, blindfolds, masks, a big plastic ball, candies, bondage tape, leads, etc. Be creative!

5. Finishing: Finally when you feel like it, let your partner touch you. Drive him crazy first: let yourself get touched for a while, then you walk away. Move more, then let him touch you again. You don't really need to be naked to allow him to touch you. Some people have fetish for stockings for example, and they'll prefer if you keep it. Try to understand by your partners face and expression what he wants from you. Then give it to him... but slowly!

......

To help you out getting the place in the right mood, I made a research of songs that would work for a striptease. Surfing between forums and even specialists lists, like the one from the Askmen website, I selected a few songs that seem to work really well with the art of taking the clothes off. (p.s.: some of them I tested myself!)

20 Songs for a good Striptease:

1. Joe Cocker - You can leave your hat on

This is a classic of striptease songs. It's a classic for a reason: it always works!

2. George Michael - I want your sex

The voice and music style of George Michael are essentially sexy. But what is definitely gonna drive your partner crazy, is the "I want your sex, I want you" coming out of your lips.

3. Chris Isaak - Baby did a bad bad thing

Another master of the sexy music is Chris Isaak. The flow on the "baby did a bad bad thing" song will change the mood in your performance many times. It also can work really well for a Burlesque (and Pin Up) style striptease, as the song has a 50's rock n' roll influence. You can play cool in the slower parts of the song, and go mad, shake your hair and move faster in the heavier parts of the song.

4. Muse - Supermassive Black Hole

"Oh baby can you hear me moan", "ohhhh you set my soul alight" are sentences that will make you and your partner feel the sexy instinct coming out of yourselves.

5. Kylie Minogue - Slow

Obviously great song for a striptease. It puts in the right mood. You don't need to make any too fast movement or plan exactly what you gonna do. You can just go with the flow. Move slowly, play with the stripping. For someone that never did a striptease before, is a good way to start.

6. Prince - Cream

Another classic striptease song! Prince is a sexy person and of course he has many sexy songs. This one has been even chosen by the Askmen website as the best Striptease song ever. Possible is impossible to say what is the best striptease song, because each person has a style and a taste, but I must guarantee (as I tested it myself) that this song brings the mood you are looking for a teasing striptease. It's very sweet and flows while you move. Prince sexy voice, almost whispering, makes you even more confident and desired.

7. Britney Spears - Gimme More

Britney is another great choice for stripping. Not only "Gimme More". Askmen recommended "Slayer 4 U". Maybe because "Gimme More" didn't come out at the time when their list was made, or maybe not. From Britney you can also choose for a good striptease the songs "the Answer" (which is a very sexy bonus track) for a slightly arabic touch, "and then we kiss" (from her remix album) for a sweeter touch, "I got a plan (get naked)" for a crazier touch... all of them are going to work! Gimme More for a pole dancing, like in the video, is a shot in the spot.

8. Pussycat Dolls - Buttons

This song was so much repeated in the forums. Many people seemed to have tried the song and totally approved it! I never did, but the Arabic vibe and the sexy lyrics must work for sure.

9. White Stripes - I just don't know what to do with myself

This song is very short, so if you choose it, you must choose another song also for sure. You can't press repeat because is gonna get you and your partner bored. Get the Kate Moss inspiration from the music video, and make a quick top model show off. It's another idea to spice your striptease.

10. Nine Inch Nails - Closer

Do you wanna get your partner thinking totally dirty? If you are up to a dirty striptease, the lyrics "I wanna fuck you like an animal" will definitely make the right mood.

11. Depeche Mode - I Feel You

Depeche Mode is another super sexy band. They have some other sexy songs that might work for a striptease but possible not as much as "I feel you". "Shake the disease", "It's a question of lust" also have very slow sensual mood. "Stripped" is also another song that might work. If you want one that is gonna work for sure, go for "I feel you".

12. Peaches - Fuck the pain Away

Professional strippers have been recommending this song in Forums. It must work for a harder, dirtier strip. For Burlesque it wouldn't work.

13. Madonna - Erotica

It's obvious that Madonna is an artist that is always gonna be in any list about the relation between music and sex. For a striptease song it wouldn't be different. Not only "Erotica", as all we know "Justify my Love" could also work really well. I'd also say "Like a Virgin" and "Secret". "Erotica" works for sure for a fetish style strip. It must be one of the best ones in this aspect.

14. Goldfrapp - Strict machine

Feminine, sassy and sexy. This is the style of Goldfrapp. "Strict Machine" is one of the songs of the album "Black Cherry". The whole album is sexy. Most songs could work for a very teasing, and even a bit burlesque style strip off.

15. Kings of Leon - Sex on fire

Possible the latest sexy band on run. When I saw the video and I watched "Kings of Leon", I was so pleased to see a new rock band with such sexy style. "Sex on Fire" can turn on a rock sexy mood to drive a rock n' roll boy crazy to own you.

16. Queens of the Stone Age - Go with the Flow

Another great rock song for a striptease. A fast, crazy and wild strip is guaranteed with this song.

17. Semisonic - Secret Smile

For those who don't know, the "Secret Smile" that the band Semisonic is talking about in their song is the beloved female sexual part... the pussy! If you play with the words and show your boy there is something "sacred and free reserved and received" by him only, I'm sure you can be creative enough to make the sexy words flow with the mission of driving him crazy.

18. Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing

Many people are gonna say the song is cheesy, old and overplayed with the striptease intention. But it was overplayed because it has the power of turning people on and making a sexy mood. If you want to be original, don't go for "Sexual Healing" or "let's get it on", but if you just want to make sure you'll get the right mood, go on!

19. Lovage - Sex (I'm a)

Mike Patton's Lovage is essentially a sexy band. The moaning, the lyrics, the sound in Sex (I'm a) are gonna make you and your partner turned on even if you don't even move... imagine if you do it!

20. Lil Wayne - Lollipop

Many Rn'B songs are sexy. In the Askman list they choose "Hot in Here" as the song to strip. I'd choose Lollipop by Lil Wayne. Less obvious and flow much more. Anyway, any of them are going to work. Depending on your mood, your outfit, your partner's mood, many other Urban songs can work. Maybe "Ridin" by Chamillionaire, or "me and you" by Cassie also could work.

To end the list, I must say most of the songs I choose work really well for striptease, but they wouldn't work for a burlesque performance. So I'm gonna do a research about Burlesque songs now, and next time I'll give you some better tips about that. ;)

Chaplin

Yesterday I watched "City Lights" by Charles Chaplin (thanks to my friend Ligia that lent it to me). Its an amazing movie, everybody should watch.

Unfortunately even tough other icons from the past like Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Twiggy, Bettie Page, James Dean, Sid Vicious, Kurt Kobain, Robert De Niro, Elvis Presley, James Morrison, etc are still talked about and venerated by the new generation, the genius Chaplin has been forgotten even by the most retro/vintage tribes.

Maybe because he was short and didn't look as cool as Sid Vicious...

Or maybe because he's hidden his alcoholism instead of being drunk on stage like James Morrison...

Maybe because he wasn't so beautiful as James Dean...

Or maybe because he shared with us a "nice" messages on his films, instead of being he the bad guy like De Niro...

I think maybe Chaplin is not talked about so much, due to the fact that he's framed on walls of conservationism, instead of being an anarchist bad boy, he is just a funny sad man that made our strict parents laugh.

Anyway, his art is mesmerizing and he deserves his position on the frame of artists to be remembered.

The psycodelic 60's sexyness

The 60's was the decade of "peace and love"... what we want to talk about is the "love" side of the sentence. There was a big boom of love (read "sex") and freedom... it was everywhere in the 60's, including fashion.

Men finally reached the moon, big feminist manifestation, homosexual freedom, Hippies and the psychedelic explosion... and how it reflects in the fashion business? With cute space dresses, androgyny style in fashion, colorful outfits and mini skirts as we see in films such as Barbarella and also in fashion ads by biggest top model at the time: Twiggy.

From time to time the 60's become a trend again. Lacoste for example still keeps the short 60's dress in their collections as it's an eternal girly item that will always have fans around the World.

I just wish it could happen more often, as I'm a big fan of the sexiness and cuteness of the 60's style... in our days sometimes it's forgotten and sometimes tagged as cheap or takki... what happened to all that "peace", and mostly what happened to the "love" in fashion?

The tiger cat

The coolest cat breed right now is definitely the "Toyger". They are cats looking like little tigers, but as sweet and friendly as any other cat's breed.

The only one problem before choosing to have the little cutie, is how much it costs. It's one of the most expensive breeds, as it's like the "fashionable" cat to have right now. For those who have the money to afford it, definitely a worthy choice.

Funny Fashion

In my last post, I talked about the fact that the main fashion markets still dominate the word "elegance". To confirm my point, I posted some pictures of fashion shows in smaller markets. If you look between them, definitely the funniest one is the "Riga fashion week".

I looked some other catwalk shows of "Riga Fashion week" and, actually they have many other funny designs to introduce to the fashion business.

Here they are:

Designer Katya Katya

Cool alien performance in the Latvian designer show.

Designer Katya Katya

Possible she is trying to proof that she can design a clown version of "the Ring".

Designer Maria Vlasola

Darth Vader fashion...

Designer Emanuel Hungaro

Latvian boys showing how to be sexy.

Designer Liisi Eesmaa

The space style is a big trend in Riga as we can see.

Designer Nevedomsky

The sexy Elvira style. Slightly hooker alike, but all for the sake of seduction.

These are some of the funny outfits I found in Riga fashion show. There are much more. There are also some good ones. I think when the latvian designers don't try to look too cool and fashionable, sometimes they end up doing much more creative stuff. Like this one by Ieva and Ilze Cecinas:

It's NOT a Paris-Milan design, but is feminine, basic and sexy. The best option for the small Latvian market, because trying too hard will never get anyone into the fashion World.
