Japanese street style inspiring fashion brands is nothing new. The way of dressing of the japanese teens, many times based on manga animes, is really unique and fun.
Right now the "Lolita" or "Gothic Lolita" is the main trend going on as it shows the picture above taken from the Japanese Numero magazine. There was its influence in the shows of many designers during the spring-summer shows for 2010, like Miu Miu, Prada, D&G, Marc Jacobs; and very strong in the Chanel and Anna Sui shows.
Besides the japanese fashion, the western fashion is also very centered in the youth and innocence of beauty right now. On the left you can see the Miu Miu Pre-fall outfit reminding the 90's teen movie "Clueless" and the Moschino Cheap & Chic look inspired in the Stanley Kubrick film "Lolita".
Here are some of the best designs from the spring shows, based on the Lolita trend:
Anna Sui
Chanel
The Lolita trend is also one of the most common in the fashion magazine Lula, aside with the Vintage trend. These two trends fit together beautifully and, as most people in the Occidental countries would not want such extreme look as the japanese Lolita, my tip for who wants to get the look without looking like dressed to a fancy dress party, is to mix these two trends as it is done by the Lula magazine:
Those are some editorials from other magazines showing some ways of using the Lolita fashion:
V Magazine, Numero and UK Vogue.
In the end, is just mix and match, a little bit of grandmas wardrobe, a little bit of japanese stores and some new items, be creative and enjoy the sweet moment of fashion.
